Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known role is her part as Tiana as the Princess, and"the Frog's African-American Princess. In 2011, she was recognised as one of the Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robinson, from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika noni Rose is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Most famously, she is known for playing Tiana Disney's first African-American princess as she appeared in The Princess and the Frog (2009). In 2011, she was honored as an Disney Legend. Also, she has a prominent role, as Lorrell Robinson on the show Dreamgirls (2007) that received nominations for the Academy Award. And she is the jukebox player LaVerne Ganner on Starz's series Power. Her other notable roles include her performance in the theatre, particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux in The Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) where she received the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Musical. She also played Beneatha Younger as part of the Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
