Anika Noni, an American actress and vocalist. Her most well-known role is voicing Tiana Disney's first princess of African descent In The Princess and the Frog. Disney named her a Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni rose is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Her most notable role is in the role of Tiana the first Disney African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends featured her as the 2011's most popular character. Her name was also honoured by her part on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006) that earned an Academy Award for Best Picture. In the Starz show Power she played LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. The actress has also received recognition for her performances in the theatre, including her leading roles as Caroline or Change Caroline or Change (2004) on Broadway for which her Tony Award was won for Best Actress in Musical.
