Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American performer and actress. She's best known for portraying Tiana the very first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. The film was awarded her the title of as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in her character in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born on the 6th of September 1973) is an American actor and vocalist. Her most well-known role was her performance as Tiana Ariel, the princess of Disney, who was the first African American Princess to appear in The Princess and the Frog (2009). In 2011, she was honored as a Disney Legend. The actress is also famous for her role in the lead role of Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning Film Dreamgirls (2006) and also for her role as her character LaVerne JUKEBOX Ganner as part of The Starz series Power. She's also known for performing on stage, particularly in the role of Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004), for which the Tony Award Best Female Featured Actress in a Musical award was given to her and Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Remake of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured performance in a play was awarded to her.
